MacEwan Bookstore Rebrand
Clean slates sold here.

The MacEwan Bookstore was in desperate need of a facelift. The old girl had been the stalwart flagship store for textbook-seekers for decades. But the trouble with printed books is that they're going out of style, and with major retailers like Amazon competing for the consumer dollar, MacEwan Bookstore needed to start looking elsewhere for revenue.

Part of that project was a rebrand to mstoreSomething sleek and interesting and fun that reminded students the store wasn't just for textbooks - that you can and should buy some school spirit.

The target market for the store is a full-time student, a broke 22 year old who probably owns several oversized hoodies in which they schlep to the library. (Demographics are fun.) For such a young, university audience we needed some pithy copywriting along with a slick Apple-esque look.

Adding mannequins to windows allowed for a more interesting display of branded merchandise. Additionally, we added Griffins Athletics merchandise never before offered at the store.
